Learning to Trust

Recently our fair committee went to an outing to another local fair. A few of the girls and I decided to listen to a medium's presentation on what a medium is. The presenter was a good speaker and very informative, but what happened during the presentation to me is what is going to stick with me for a lifetime.

As the presentation was going on I began to notice light rays shining down from the Christmas lights that were strewn across the room. I blinked it away a few times thinking my eye sight was bothering me. Then I realized it wasn't my eye sight, it was spirit and I was trying to push it away. I have a knee-jerk reaction to shut out spirit at times (a habit I developed as a child scared of spirit). At that exact moment the speaker was saying we need to trust our intuition and not try to shut spirit out to get the messages they have for us. I had to decide, was I going to live up to my word of trust our soul or try to shut this out again because I didn't know what exactly they were trying to do?

I decided to trust and let the light rays shine. They got brighter and then went away, or I didn't notice them anymore. Instead I only noticed the speaker, and within minutes she started to glow, I was seeing a white aura around her. It was amazing! I have only ever seen one aura before and it was bright green, so this was very different, but equally breathtaking. As I continued to relax and thank spirit I noticed an aqua blue glow coming from her left side by her waist and another aqua blue glow to the right of her neck. As I tuned in to what she was saying she started to explain ways to enhance your own intuition. Then she showed us how she was wearing a crystal bracelet and a crystal necklace. I realized this could explain the aqua glow. I don't know if that was energy from the crystals, spirit energy coming in or out, or exactly what it was. What I do know for is that it was amazing.

I'm so glad I was given the opportunity to be at this great event with some wonderful people. It was a truly magical day and I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to trust spirit in such a high energy place and have the experience I did!

Have a magical day,
Christina

How to distinguish your soul's guidance - intuition

The soul continuously sends guidelines to the consciousness to keep you aligned with your contract choices. These guidelines, which are as clear as neon signs pointing in the directions you chose, may come as words but most often are strong sensations. When you are heeding your soul’s messages, in heart and mind you feel as if you are flowing lightly with the current, so to say—this is your soul saying “Good job!” Conversely, when your free will decision, action or inaction goes against your contract, you experience uneasiness and discomfort—you wish you had made a different choice.

The lighthearted feeling of a “clear” conscience lets you know that what you did was right; feelings of guilt, regret or remorse signify that it wasn’t. Be aware that if the latter feelings are ignored time after time, the conscience begins to atrophy and mean-spiritedness and apathy start to feel natural.

Instinct is a spontaneous reaction to a situation that poses grave danger to you, a loved one or a stranger, and acting instantly can be life-saving.

Using intuition is a contemplative process of “asking within” for advice, then stilling your mind. You may want to know, for instance, whether a particular person is the best choice as a lifetime partner; if a proposed business venture is in your best interests; when an investment of time, energy or money is wise; if relocating or accepting a job offer is a good idea. As you contemplate any of those kinds of situations or another matter of great importance to your future, if the urge to act upon the idea becomes stronger, your soul is speaking ever more loudly to motivate you to take relevant action. If reluctance to take the next step persists, your soul is saying “Don’t do this.”

While exercising your power of discernment is similar, it provides answers you’re seeking at the moment. That could be whether it would be wise to share your thoughts with someone, which information is the truth for you and which is not, if silence about a matter is kinder than speaking up, does a particular situation deserve your attention—that is, separating the trivial from the worthwhile.

Acting upon inspirations and aspirations leads to fields of endeavor and major activities you chose in your soul contract. Being true to yourself in this respect results in a gratifying sense of fulfillment whereas spending your life doing what someone says you should instead of following your heart’s desire brings restlessness and discontentment.

Why are we telling you what you already know?  Because, our beloved family, you aren’t using that knowledge to the fullest! Questioning at deeply introspective levels is extremely important indeed, and that huge step out of third density consciousness is an arduous trek, to be sure. However, the next step—getting your answers within—comes as easily and swiftly as you will allow. Within your soul is all the knowingness, assurance, self-confidence, caring, wisdom and strength you’ll ever need in this lifetime. Seek and ye shall find.

Intuitive Compass

This is some excerpts from Francis P. Cholle's article on Psychology Today.

"What is intuition and how do we use it?

Have you ever had a moment where you felt as though something wasn't right? Perhaps stepping into a parking lot late at night, or feeling negative around someone without knowing why? And if you've experienced this before, have you shrugged it off, dismissing it as illogical nonsense?

As a culture, we have learned to believe that rationality is what should prevail when making decisions about anything from crucial business mergers to what to eat for lunch. But what of that "inner voice", that gut feeling, that little something instinctual from within that tells us how we feel beneath those layers of logic?

Instinct and Intuition, as I define it, is this:

• Instinct is our innate inclination toward a particular behavior (as opposed to a learned response).
• A gut feeling—or a hunch—is a sensation that appears quickly in consciousness (noticeable enough to be acted on if one chooses to) without us being fully aware of the underlying reasons for its occurrence.
• Intuition is a process that gives us the ability to know something directly without analytic reasoning, bridging the gap between the conscious and nonconscious parts of our mind, and also between instinct and reason.

In essence, we need both instinct and reason to make the best possible decisions for ourselves, our businesses, and our families. Unfortunately, many of us—even when we experience success using this lesser acknowledged part of us-are uncomfortable with the idea of using our instincts as a guidance tool. We are embarrassed to say that we follow hunches, we mistrust the sometimes-cryptic messages that our instincts send to us, and consequently we diminish our capacity to leverage the power of our own instincts when we need them most. Our discomfort with the idea of relying on our instincts is based on millennia of cultural prejudice...

We don't have to reject scientific logic in order to benefit from instinct. We can honor and call upon all of these tools, and we can seek balance. And by seeking this balance we will finally bring all of the resources of our braininto action. Until about a hundred years ago science wasn't even aware of the role of our unconscious, but studies now show that only 20 percent of the brain's gray matter is dedicated to conscious thoughts, while 80 percent is dedicated to nonconscious thoughts...

The conscious is an expert at logic and will use it relentlessly. Conversely, the unconscious mind searches through the past, present, and future and connects with hunches and feelings in a nonlinear way. Its process is cryptic to the logical mind, as it defies the conventional laws of time and space...

Here are three ways to listen to that internal voice and allow its guidance into your everyday life:

1 - Keep a journal. Writing your thoughts and feelings down on paper—even if you "think" you have little to say—helps the nonconscious mind open up. You may find you're writing words and phrases that don't make sense to you, or stir emotional responses rather than intellectual responses. When this happens, it leads to:

2 - Turn off Your Inner Critic. Often times we rationalize away those voices within. This time, listen without judgment. Allow the inner dialogues to happen without fear or ridicule.

3 - Find a Solitary Place. A place where you can allow emotions to flow freely is an imperative part of finding and retaining the building blocks of intuition. Here you may also want to create an emotional connection to an object, a color, a piece of music or literature - anything that will allow feelings to stir that are solely from within and do not carry intellectual or rational reasoning.

These three exercises will aid you in creating a new, deeper relationship with the self, help clarify that inner voice, and allow you to bring your true instinctual awareness back into your rational everyday life."
